The simplest coronoids: Hollow hexagons

Structural Chemistry, 1991
Hollow hexagons form a subclass of primitive coronoid systems. The macrocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon kekulene corresponds to a hollow hexagon. The hollow hexagons for given numbers of hexagonal units (h) were enumerated by computer aid, but also an analytical solution for the numbers of hollow hexagons was achieved.

Exploring the Strong Metric Dimension of Hollow Coronoid Structures: Applications and Implications

Complexity Analysis and Applications
Coronoid systems are actually geometric arrangements of six-sided benzenoids in hexagonal form. Coronoid systems are organic chemical structures, that fall into two categories: primitive and catacondensed coronoids. Many researchers from various fields have an interest in the mathematical analysis of chemicals.
