Low‐Cost Ambient Pressure Drying Approach for Highly Porous Nanomaterial Structures
We propose a simple, low‐cost method to dry highly porous nanomaterial structures at ambient temperature and pressure. Using low surface tension solvents, this technique minimizes capillary forces, preventing pore collapse and material shrinkage. This bypasses the need for expensive and size‐limiting critical point drying, enabling scalable production ...

An experimental study of non-coaxial soil behaviour using hollow cylinder testing [PDF]
Non-coaxiality of the principal stress direction and principal strain increment direction has been observed in both numerical modelling and experimental studies. The importance of non-coaxiality has been widely recognised in the geomechnical engineering.

Focusing on the critical tap hole region of the blast furnace, this work examines binder characteristics, prepares tap hole clay with different formulations, and evaluates their physical properties. The findings confirm the advantages of composite binders and offer a new binder option for tap hole clay.

Buckling of slender composite concrete‐filled steel columns
The paper presents the analysis of the experimental data of 1817 on concrete‐filled steel tubes ‐ CFSTs. These results are compared with the predicted results of the load‐bearing capacity of calculations of slender elements according to the methods ...

Abstract Reinforced concrete (RC) beams can be subjected to torsion, and failure due to torsion is brittle and poses a significant risk to occupants. Moreover, strengthening of existing RC beams in torsion may be required due to the upgrade of the structures or as part of structural rehabilitation.
