STM and ab initio study of holmium nanowires on a Ge(111) Surface
A nanorod structure has been observed on the Ho/Ge(111) surface using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The rods do not require patterning of the surface or defects such as step edges in order to grow as is the case for nanorods on Si(111).

Triple-Clad Fiber Combiner for Holmium-Doped Fiber Lasers Clad-Pumping
The development of a high-power 7 × 1 triple-clad fiber combiner aimed at resonantly clad-pump holmium-doped fiber lasers is presented. Thanks to the implementation in the combiner of a low refractive index glass capillary, we show that the developed ...

Dysprosium-doped ZBLAN fiber laser tunable from 2.8 {\mu}m to 3.4 {\mu}m, pumped at 1.7 {\mu}m
We demonstrate a mid-infrared dysprosium-doped fluoride fiber laser with a continuously tunable output range of 573 nm, pumped by a 1.7 {\mu}m Raman fiber laser. To the best of our knowledge, this represents the largest tuning range achieved to date from

Unlocking Energy Potential: Exploiting Anionic Redox Activity in Na‐Based Layered Oxides
Anionic redox in Na‐based layered oxide cathodes unlocks additional capacity beyond conventional transition‐metal redox limits, enabling high‐energy sodium‐ion batteries. This review elucidates coupled cationicanionic redox mechanisms across P2‐, O3‐, and related structural phases, while critically addressing key challenges such as voltage hysteresis ...

Formation and structure of the first metal complexes comprising amidinoguanidinate ligands
The first metal complexes comprising amidinoguanidinate ligands have been prepared and structurally characterized, namely bis[μ-N,N′,N′′,N′′′-tetraisopropyl-1-(1-butylamidinato)guanidinato-κ3N1,N2:N2]bis[(tetrahydrofuran)lithium], [Li2(C18H37N4)2(C4H8O)2]
