Algorithm for reconstruction of digital holograms with adjustable magnification

Optics Letters, 2004
A new algorithm that allows for reconstruction of digital holograms with adjustable magnification is proposed. The algorithm involves two reconstruction steps implemented by a conventional single Fourier-transform algorithm. The advantages of the algorithm lie in its adaptability to various object sizes and recording distances as well as in its ...

Method for self reconstruction of holograms for secure communication

SPIE Proceedings, 2017
We present the theory and experimental results behind using a 3D holographic signal for secure communications. A hologram of a complex 3D object is recorded to be used as a hard key for data encryption and decryption. The hologram is cut in half to be used at each end of the system.

Reconstruction Depth Adaptive Coding of Digital Holograms

IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals of Electronics, Communications and Computer Sciences, 2012
We propose an adaptive coding algorithm for digital hologram transmission based on server-client interaction. A client can visualize various images of 3D objects from a digital hologram, which are reconstructed on different depth planes. The client's requests for reconstruction depths are sent to the server.

Large image reconstruction using small holograms

Applied Optics, 1989
Large image reconstruction using a factor of 5 smaller hologram is realized with an optical system which consists of two Fresnel lenses and one common lens. The secondary Fresnel lens also serves as a projection screen. Furthermore, using the same optical system, a true color hologram is achieved by using three primary color lasers.

Reconstruction of volume holograms at different wavelengths

SPIE Proceedings, 1990
We investigate the phase-conjugate ring-resonator (PCR) consisting of a Sagnac interferometer and a phase-conjugating mirror, realized by four-wave mixing in a BaTiO3-crystal. Under certain conditions the effect of self-oscillation occurs with spatial and temporal fluctuations, but a stable integral intensity.

Acoustical Holograms and Optical Reconstruction

1969
Theoretical and experimental investigations of the construction of acoustical holograms and the optical reconstruction of their images are described. The matrix representation of Gabor’s hologram is presented, and the matrix method is used to analyze the experimental results obtained.

Reconstruction of projection images from CCI holograms

International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2003
The author introduces chrono-coherent imaging (CCI), a technique for noninvasive imaging of hidden structures at optical wavelengths, and discusses various aspects of CCI image formation from a signal processing perspective. Particular attention is given to the development of a mathematical model of the process, leading to image reconstruction and ...

Reconstruction techniques of holograms from Spacelab 3

Applied Optics, 1987
Fluid transport effects in a ground-based laboratory are fairly well known. Bouyancy driven transport occurs when there is a local density change in the fluid. In a low-g environment these density changes become less important, and other transport mechanisms dominate.

Influence of emulsion thickness in hologram reconstruction

Physics Letters A, 1967
Abstract A method of calculation which involves the emulsion thickness is described which permits one to determine the influence of the various parameters of the recording setup.
