Complete Mode Spectrum Decomposition of Complex‐Structured Light by Computer‐Generated Holography

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 6, Issue 2, February 2025.
In this article, a new optical method based on self‐interference is proposed to completely decompose the eigenmode spectrum of complex‐structured light. A diffractive optical method is designed and validated to extract the complete information of complex‐structured light fields composed with eigenmode superposition states, including the order of ...

Special Issue on Digital Holographic 3D Imaging: Capture, Display, and Evaluation

open access: yesETRI Journal, 2019
Holography has been fascinating people for almost 70 years (since Gabor's invention in 1947) as a true three‐dimensional (3D) imaging technology that can replicate 3D scenes in free space.

Mechanical behavior study of laminate composite by three-color digital holography

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2017
A method for real time 3D measurements based on three-color digital holographic interferometry is presented and applied to the investigation of fracture mechanisms in laminate composite submitted to a three point flexural loading. A convolution algorithm

Two-mode squeezed vacuum and squeezed light in correlated interferometry [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. A 92, 053821 (2015), 2015
We study in detail a system of two interferometers aimed to the detection of extremely faint phase-fluctuations. This system can represent a breakthrough for detecting a faint correlated signal that would remain otherwise undetectable even using the most sensitive individual interferometric devices, that are limited by the shot noise.

Chirped Pulses Meet Quantum Dots: Innovations, Challenges, and Future Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2025.
Chirped laser pulse excitation is the most robust method to generate high‐quality photon states from quantum dots. Here, a comprehensive overview of methods is presented to produce and characterize chirped pulses, by providing numerical design examples with experimental advantages and challenges in each.

Quantification of Interfacial Charges in Multilayered Nanocapacitors by Operando Electron Holography

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 4, January 29, 2025.
Operando off‐axis electron holography is used to quantify the charges trapped at the dielectric/dielectric interfaces and metal/dielectric interfaces in HfO2‐ and Al2O3‐based nanocapacitors. The electrostatic potential maps, recorded with a sub‐nanometer spatial resolution while applying a bias, demonstrate that these interfaces present a high density ...

Digital holographic interferometry for analyzing high density gradients in Fluid Mechanics

open access: yes, 2017
Digital holographic interferometry has been developed by ONERA for analysing high refractive index variations encountered in fluids mechanics. Firstly, the authors present the analysis of a small supersonic jet using three different optical techniques ...

Development of measuring diffusion coefficients by digital holographic interferometry in transparent liquid mixtures.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2015
As for the measurement of diffusion coefficient in transparent liquids by digital holographic interferometry, there are many kinds depending on the mathematical model and experimental setup.

Dual‐Modal Sensing Skin Adaptive to Daylight, Darkness, and Ultraviolet Light for Simultaneous Full‐Field Deformation Measurement and Mechanoluminescence Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 2, January 13, 2025.
A dual‐modal sensing skin for deformation visualization is developed by integrating mechanoluminescence and digital image correlation techniques. It functions effectively under various lighting conditions, such as daylight, complete darkness, and UV irradiation.

Holographic Beam Measurements of the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment (CHIME)

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present the first results of the holographic beam-mapping program for the Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment (CHIME). We describe the implementation of a holographic technique as adapted for CHIME, and introduce the processing pipeline ...
