Holographic display for see-through augmented reality using mirror-lens holographic optical element
Optics Letters, 2016A holographic display system for realizing a three-dimensional optical see-through augmented reality (AR) is proposed. A multi-functional holographic optical element (HOE), which simultaneously performs the optical functions of a mirror and a lens, is adopted in the system.

Single Lens Holographic Imaging
2017Metasurface phase masks offer a new way of imaging in that the lens sizes are orders of magnitude smaller and allow for batch fabrication of a large number of miniature lenses. Unfortunately, current metasurface lens technology cannot simultaneously overcome the issues of image distortion for objects far from the optical axis and chromatic aberrations.

Two-photon excitation with holographic spatiotemporal lens
Digital Holography and Three-Dimensional Imaging, 2011We demonstrate a holographic spatiotemporal lens composed of a diffraction grating and a chirped diffractive lens to improve an axial resolution of two-photon excitation. It generates the shortest pulse only at the focal plane.

Automated extended depth of focus digital holographic microscopy using electrically tunable lens
Journal of Optics, 2020A combination of electrically tunable lens with a microscope objective lens (MO) for multifocal plane imaging capability is proposed. The method aims at extending the depth of focus of the MO by changing its axial range and field of view. The combination

The holographic/diffractive bifocal contact lens
International Contact Lens Clinic, 1989Abstract Presently, practitioners are somewhat limited in the available options for correction of presbyopia with contact lenses. Neither the form of contact lens design (segmented, aspheric, or concentric) or fitting scheme (such as monovision) have high enough success to dominate the market. To meet this growing demand, a new holographic/diffractive

High-aperture diffractive lens for holographic printer
SPIE Proceedings, 2016The optical scheme of holographic printer for obtaining of holographic stereograms with an increasing field of view is proposed. Conventional holographic printers allow obtaining holographic stereograms with the field of view up to 90°. Proposed scheme allows increasing field of view up to 120°.

The resolution characteristics of volume holographic lens
2009 Conference on Lasers & Electro Optics & The Pacific Rim Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2009We introduce two kinds of typical volume holographic gratings into the imaging system respectively, and discuss their resolution characteristics in lateral and longitudinal defocus condition to improve the image quality.

Equivalent-Lens Theory of Holographic Imaging
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1968A theory of holographic imaging is formulated in terms familiar from conventional optics. The effects of the curvatures and off-axis angles of the reference and read-out waves are described by equivalent thin lenses and prisms. The formation of the true-image wavefield is found to be completely analogous to the conventional imaging of the object ...

Holographic lens array for future display screen
SPIE Proceedings, 2007Holography is thought as a revolutionary science for imaging and display. With the commercialization of LCD and DMD projectors, the quality of the imaging screen becomes more and more important to the future display technology. In this paper, we propose to use the holographic lens array as the imaging screen of the projectors.
