3D‐Printed Holographic Fresnel Lenses

Advanced Engineering Materials, 2022
Additive manufacturing processes are capable of fabricating optical devices, including the production of contact lenses, waveguides, and Fresnel lenses used in a variety of applications. This study presents a novel fabrication method for high‐quality Fresnel lenses through a vat photopolymerization 3D printing method.

Color holographic wave-front printing technique

2015 IEEE 13th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN), 2015
The paper presents design and implementation of a color wavefront holographic printer for white light viewable holograms of three-dimensional (3D) objects from digital contents. The printed hologram was composed as a two-dimensional (2D) array of elemental holograms. The 3D information was encoded in computer generated holograms displayed in succession

Acquiring spatially varying appearance of printed holographic surfaces

ACM Transactions on Graphics, 2018
We present two novel and complimentary approaches to measure diffraction effects in commonly found planar spatially varying holographic surfaces. Such surfaces are increasingly found in various decorative materials such as gift bags, holographic papers, clothing and security holograms, and produce impressive visual effects that have not been previously

Color Holographic Wavefront Printing Technique for Realistic Representation

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, 2016
This paper presents design and implementation of a color wavefront holographic printer. The printer output is a white light viewable volume hologram composed as a two-dimensional (2-D) array of elemental holograms. The three-dimensional (3-D) input data for the printer are encoded as computer generated holograms (CGHs) displayed in succession on an ...

Design and fabricate freeform holographic optical elements on curved optical surfaces using holographic printing

Optics Letters, 2023
Freeform holographic optical elements (HOEs), due to the high degrees of design freedom, can be used to enhance performance of display systems. In this Letter, we propose a method for designing and fabricating freeform HOEs on curved optical surfaces that can be utilized to implement curved augmented reality (AR) displays.

Holographic Inspection Of Printed Circuit Board

SPIE Proceedings, 1986
The possibility of using real time holographic interferometry (HI) to detect defects in printed circuit boards has been explored. Initial results indicate that real time HI can reveal some of the most common PC board defects such as solder crack, desoldered junctions, trace separation and components snipped at the soldered joints.

Holographic aspheric gratings printed with aberrant waves

Applied Optics, 1987
In astrophysics, holographic gratings use, as far as possible, spherical grating's surface and printing laser waves. However, to obtain high spectral resolution, aberrations must be corrected up to the fourth degree, which generally requires aspheric surfaces for the grating or the laser waves.

A holographic image printing technique with high resolution

Optics Communications, 1973
Abstract A method is shown to obtain a real image with a large image field and high resolution from an image hologram, which is produced by a large aperture lens with large amount of aberration. The resolution of the reconstructed serial image is estimated to be within the range from 450 to 500 lines/mm in 2 inch diameter image field.
