Laser Finger Print Sensor with Holographic Grating

open access: yesBaghdad Science Journal, 2004
Design and Construction system for recording Finger print by laser, and separted the signal to noise by holographic element, was done. For safety, total reflection lighting ensures hat aser earns an not enter An operators eyes. Holographic diffraction grating was used instead of computer program to contrast images.

Recent Advances in Photonic Bound States in the Continuum: From Fundamentals to Engineering and Implementation

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This review summarizes recent progress in meta‐photonics with a focus on bound states in the continuum (BICs) as a powerful platform for light confinement and control. It covers fundamental concepts, design strategies across optical regimes, symmetry breaking for practical quasi‐BICs, tunable and AI‐assisted BIC devices, and emerging applications in ...

Grating‐Lens Empowered Metafiber for Large‐Angle Light Collection With 3D Nanoprinted Structures

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A grating‐lens‐based Metafiber enables efficient light coupling into single‐mode fibers at large incidence angles. By combining diffraction and focusing on the fiber facet using a 3D nanoprinted holographic structure, light is selectively coupled only at specific angles while suppressing unwanted signals. This approach achieves high coupling efficiency

Sub-Micron Holographic Grating Masks Replicated by X-ray Contact Printing for Integrated Optics [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
The work presented in this thesis covers a wide spectrum of topics concerned with the development of a lithographic system to print periodic structures. Such structures are incorporated in integrated optical devices such as 1st order Distributed Feedback

Full‐field X‐ray fluorescence imaging using a Fresnel zone plate as a coded aperture: optimized reconstruction algorithm and first trial of hyperspectral XANES mapping

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, EarlyView.
The full‐field X‐ray fluorescence imaging method, where a Fresnel zone plate is employed as a coded aperture, was tested for the first time at a beamline, and its corresponding reconstruction code was optimized. It was also employed to perform, also for the first time using full‐field and fluorescence modes, hyperspectral XANES mapping. This study ...

Characteristic and optimization of the effective perspective images’ segmentation and mosaicking (EPISM) based holographic stereogram: an optical transfer function approach

open access: yes, 2018
Based on our proposed method for holographic stereogram printing using effective perspective images’ segmentation and mosaicking (EPISM), we analyze the reconstructed wavefront errors, and establish the exit pupil function model of proposed printing ...

The Painterly Materiality of Clouds in Antony and Cleopatra and Hamlet

open access: yesRenaissance Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract This article examines the cloud‐gazing scenes in Antony and Cleopatra and Hamlet through the lens of early modern artistic theory and material practices, particularly the art of limning. Building upon existing philosophical and poetic interpretations of Shakespearean clouds as metaphors for ephemerality and memory, the essay argues that the ...

A personal 360° view of applications of ‘biomimetic’ molecular recognition

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, Volume 101, Issue 7, Page 1300-1311, July 2026.
Abstract Molecular recognition between biological molecules has formed the basis for innumerable applications in biotechnology for the last seven decades or so. Techniques such as affinity chromatography, solid‐phase and aqueous two‐phase extraction, affinity precipitation, biomimetic catalytic systems, biosensors and molecular imprinting all exploit ...
