Topology Optimization Enables Freeform Matrix Fourier Optics
A topology‐optimized freeform metasurface is designed and fabricated to realize matrix Fourier optics, enabling the diffraction of multiple polarization states into distinct far‐field orders. By combining forward design with gradient‐based inverse optimization, high polarization contrast of up to 98.7% is achieved.

The holographic interpretation is a useful tool to describe 5D field theories in a 4D language. In particular it allows one to relate 5D AdS theories with 4D CFTs. We elaborate on the 5D/4D dictionary for the case of fermions in AdS$_5$ with boundaries.

Holography of information in AdS/CFT
The principle of the holography of information states that in a theory of quantum gravity a copy of all the information available on a Cauchy slice is also available near the boundary of the Cauchy slice.

Comments on Holographic Entanglement Entropy in TT Deformed CFTs
The Ryu-Takayanagi (RT) formula has been a key ingredient in our understanding of holography. Recent work on TT deformations has also boosted our understanding of holography away from the conformal boundary of AdS.

Switchable Terahertz Beam Steering with Near‐Perfect Ordinary Transmission
This study introduces a reconfigurable metasurface that enables switchable terahertz beam steering upon actuation by a global temperature change. At room temperature, it achieves a true “OFF” state with nearly 100% transmission, behaving as if the metasurface is not present, thereby not distorting incoming light.

Special Issue on Digital Holographic 3D Imaging: Capture, Display, and Evaluation
Holography has been fascinating people for almost 70 years (since Gabor's invention in 1947) as a true three‐dimensional (3D) imaging technology that can replicate 3D scenes in free space.

Holostereosynthesis: An Improvement to Louis Lumière’s Photostereosynthesis Technique
In 1920, Louis Lumière, one of the fathers of Cinématograph, invented photostereosynthesis, a photography technique that could recreate three-dimensional images without a specific artifice.

Testing Holographic Principle from Logarithmic and Higher Order Corrections to Black Hole Entropy
The holographic principle is tested by examining the logarithmic and higher order corrections to the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of black holes. For the BTZ black hole, I find some disagreement in the principle for a holography screen at spatial infinity ...

Incoherent Digital Holography Empowered by Wavefront and Information Engineering: A Review
Advancements in incoherent digital holography (IDH) have been achieved via wavefront engineering (using spatial light modulators, diffractive optics, and metasurfaces) and information engineering (using compressive sensing and deep learning). This paper presents an overview of IDH with wavefront and information engineering, paving the way toward its ...
