Equivariant toric geometry and Euler–Maclaurin formulae

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 3, Page 451-557, March 2026.
Abstract We first investigate torus‐equivariant motivic characteristic classes of toric varieties, and then apply them via the equivariant Riemann–Roch formalism to prove very general Euler–Maclaurin‐type formulae for full‐dimensional simple lattice polytopes.

Cycle integrals and rational period functions for Γ0+(2) and Γ0+(3)

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
For p∈{2,3}p\in \left\{2,3\right\} and an even integer kk, let Wk−2−(p){W}_{k-2}^{-}\left(p) be the space of period polynomials of weight k−2k-2 on Γ0+(p){\Gamma }_{0}^{+}\left(p) with eigenvalue −1-1 under the Fricke involution.

On harmonic weak Maass forms of half integral weight [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We show that certain space of vector valued harmonic weak Maass forms of half integral weight is isomorphic to a space of scalar valued ones whose Fourier coefficients are supported on suitable progressions.

Siegel–Veech constants for cyclic covers of generic translation surfaces

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 113, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract We compute the asymptotic number of cylinders, weighted by their area to any nonnegative power, on any cyclic branched cover of any generic translation surface in any stratum. Our formulae depend only on topological invariants of the cover and number‐theoretic properties of the degree: in particular, the ratio of the related Siegel–Veech ...

One‐level densities in families of Grössencharakters associated to CM elliptic curves

open access: yesMathematika, Volume 72, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract We study the low‐lying zeros of a family of L$L$‐functions attached to the complex multiplication elliptic curve Ed:y2=x3−dx$E_d \;:\; y^2 = x^3 - dx$, for each odd and square‐free integer d$d$. Specifically, upon writing the L$L$‐function of Ed$E_d$ as L(s−12,ξd)$L(s-\frac{1}{2}, \xi _d)$ for the appropriate Grössencharakter ξd$\xi _d$ of ...

Zeros of weakly holomorphic modular forms of levels 2 and 3

open access: yes, 2013
Let $M_k^\sharp(N)$ be the space of weakly holomorphic modular forms for $\Gamma_0(N)$ that are holomorphic at all cusps except possibly at $\infty$. We study a canonical basis for $M_k^\sharp(2)$ and $M_k^\sharp(3)$ and prove that almost all modular ...

Character sum, reciprocity, and Voronoi formula

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 57, Issue 12, Page 3797-3823, December 2025.
Abstract We prove a novel four‐variable character sum identity that serves as a twisted, non‐Archimedean analog of Weber's integrals for Bessel functions. Using this identity and ideas from Venkatesh's thesis, we provide a short spectral proof of the Voronoi formulae for classical modular forms with character twists.

Cohomological relation between Jacobi forms and skew-holomorphic Jacobi forms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Eichler and Zagier developed a theory of Jacobi forms to understand and extend Maass' work on the Saito-Kurokawa conjecture. Later Skoruppa introduced skew-holomorphic Jacobi forms, which play an important role in understanding liftings of modular forms ...

Euclidean algorithms are Gaussian over imaginary quadratic fields

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 112, Issue 6, December 2025.
Abstract We prove that the distribution of the number of steps of the Euclidean algorithm of rationals in imaginary quadratic fields with denominators bounded by N$N$ is asymptotically Gaussian as N$N$ goes to infinity, extending a result by Baladi and Vallée for the real case.
