Milk yield prediction between Bunaji Holstein Friesian cross bred and Holstein Frisian cows using linear, cubic and quadratic models [PDF]

open access: yesBiotechnology in Animal Husbandry, 2018
The aim of this study was to compare three different models (Linear, cubic and quadratic) to find best model for predicting milk yield. Data originated from the monthly milk yields records of 251 Bunaji Holstein Friesian crossed and Holstein Friesian ...

Characterization of Pregnancy Specific Protein B (PSPB) from Placenta Foetalis (Cotyledon) Friesian Holstein Cows

open access: yesJurnal Kedokteran Hewan, 2008
This research was aimed to find out a substance that was useful in early pregnancy diagnosis of Friesian Holstein cows. Pregnancy Specific Protein B (PSPB) was isolated, purified and partially characterized from cotyledon Friesian Holstein cows ...

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

[18F]Fluorodeprenyl‐D2 PET as a Tool to Monitor Disease Activity in GAD65‐Ab Autoimmune Encephalitis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate [18F]fluorodeprenyl‐D2 ([18F]F‐DED) positron‐emission tomography (PET) imaging as a biomarker of disease activity in autoimmune encephalitis (AIE) associated with glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 (GAD65) antibodies. Methods [18F]F‐DED PET was performed in 25 GAD65‐AIE patients and 8 controls using dynamic (0–60 min) and ...

A Multi‐Stimuli Transformational Network of Benzil‐Based Pd(II) Assemblies

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Incorporation of a flexible and chemically reactive benzil backbone into the ligand structure allows it to access multiple conformations, enabling the formation of diverse homo‐ and heteroleptic Pd(II) assemblies with different nuclearities and topologies.

A 3D Human Bone and Bone Marrow‐on‐a‐Chip Model for In Vitro Bone Remodeling and Immune Cell Maintenance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a human Bone (and Bone Marrow)‐on‐a‐Chip model based on native human bone scaffolds and autologous cells. Dynamic perfusion and sequential cell seeding replicate the physiological bone remodeling process in vitro, enabling the long‐term culture of functional, mature bone marrow immune subpopulations.

Studies Regarding the Development of Two Genetic Lines of Holstein Friesian Cows Differing in Mature Live Weight

open access: yesScientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2023
To achieve optimal profitability in dairy production the type of cow farmed must be suitable for the production system operated. Matching the right type of dairy cow to the dairying will become more important in the future as dairying systems became more

Estimation of nonadditive genetic impacts on lifetime performance through a grading-up breeding program with Holstein-Friesian

open access: yesMljekarstvo, 2014
The aim of this study was to estimate the total lifetime milk production and non additive genetic effects (recombination and heterosis) of cows with different proportions of Holstein-Friesian genes, obtained from the Serbian Fleckvieh (SF) and the ...
