Pulsed Field Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation in Patients With Obesity: Procedural and Clinical Outcomes

open access: yesPacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Procedural and clinical outcomes in patients with obesity undergoing catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation (AF) have been mixed. Clinical data in the context of pulsed field ablation (PFA) are currently limited in this patient cohort.

Suppression of premature ventricular complexes with the PDE5 inhibitor sildenafil: First clinical experience

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract The phosphodiesterase‐5 inhibitor sildenafil suppresses ventricular arrhythmias in a sheep model of drug‐induced long QT. In that study, ventricular arrhythmias were abolished by reducing premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) and delaying PVC onset, thus preventing ‘R‐on‐T’ ventricular tachycardia.

A novel heart rate attractor for the prediction of cardiovascular disease

open access: yesInformatics in Medicine Unlocked, 2019
Rationale: The cardiac dynamic has been studied with a new methodology based on probability and proportions of entropy of frequencies of appearance, by means of heart rate (HR) in a new kind of attractor.

Holter monitoring, sinoatrial conduction time, prognosis

open access: yesCardiology Journal, 2013
To evaluate the usefulness of the Holter method of sinoatrial conduction time (SACT) calculation in predicting the future occurrence of sinus node disease, and the emergence of indications for permanent pacing in patients with unexplained syncope. The study group included 218 patients (mean age 55 ± 17 years, 116 men) with syncope of unknown etiology in

Incidence and predictors of premature ventricular complexes following catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
BACKGROUND: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia, and previous studies have focused on the epidemiology, mechanisms and risk factors for this global disease (Ryder and Benjamin 1999). Various studies have examined the mechanism,

Whole Heart Dose Parameters Predict Severe Arrhythmias After Neoadjuvant Chemoradiotherapy for Esophageal Squamous Cell Cancer: A Competing Risk Analysis of 358 Patients

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Dose exposure to supraventricular cardiac conduction system doses has been reported to be associated with distinct arrhythmia classes after thoracic radiotherapy, but its impact in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remains unknown.
