Suspected pro‐arrhythmic effects of flecainide and the limitations of in‐hospital short‐duration electrocardiography in detecting ventricular arrhythmia burden in a dog with dilated cardiomyopathy

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 1, February 2026.

Telomere Shortening Drives Atrial Fibrillation Through VCAM‐1 Mediated Atrial Electrical and Structural Remodeling

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 2, February 2026.
This study reveals that telomere shortening promotes atrial fibrillation by upregulating VCAM‐1, leading to fibrosis and electrical remodeling. Inhibiting VCAM‐1 reverses these abnormalities, identifying it as a therapeutic target for age‐related AF. ABSTRACT Telomere shortening is a hallmark of aging and has been implicated in cardiovascular disease ...

Grief‐Related Chest Pain: A Review, Conceptual Analysis, and Integrative Model

open access: yesPsychophysiology, Volume 63, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Although the death of a loved one is a ubiquitous experience with chest pain a commonly reported symptom, grief‐related chest pain and particularly its physiological mechanisms remain under‐investigated. To address this gap, we adopted Rodger's approach to concept analysis to explore the psychoneuroimmunological mechanisms potentially linking ...
