Ambulatory External Electrocardiography Monitoring: Holter, Extended Holter, Mobile Cardiac Telemetry Monitoring

Cardiac Electrophysiology Clinics, 2021
Ambulatory external electrocardiography (AECG) monitoring is effective as an evidence-based diagnostic tool when suspicion for cardiac arrhythmia is high. Multiple modalities of AECG monitoring exist, with unique advantages and limitations that predict effectiveness in a variety of clinical settings.

Holter monitoring after PTCA

European Heart Journal, 1989
There are several potential causes for the occurrence of myocardial ischaemia after successful coronary angioplasty, but the role of ambulatory electrocardiographic monitoring, particularly in the detection of coronary restenosis, remains undefined in these patients. Previous studies have shown that ambulatory monitoring demonstrates ST-segment changes

Holter Monitoring

Herzschrittmachertherapie & Elektrophysiologie
Holter monitoring represents a valuable diagnostic tool to document intermittent arrhythmias in the work-up of, for example, syncope, presyncope, collapse, falls, dizziness, stroke, palpitations, and a rapid heartbeat. In addition, it may help in the diagnosis of intermittent ischemia and channelopathies, particularly in the form of 12-lead Holter ...

HOLTER MONITORING IN CARDIOLOGICAL PRACTICE

Medical Journal of Australia, 1978
Thirty-one patients who presented with the symptoms of palpitations and/or syncope were personally studied by the Holter monitor electrocardiogram method. The method is briefly described. Interesting results were obtained, which are illustrated by five case histories. Of these 31 cases which were studied, five gave entirely negative results.
