Assessing Patient Centered Urological Care for Spina Bifida: A Collaboration Between the European Association of Urology–European Society for Pediatric Urology (EAU−ESPU) Pediatric Urology Guidelines Panel and the International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (IFSBH)

open access: yesNeurourology and Urodynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction & Objectives People with spina bifida (SB) require lifelong care from various specialists, with the organization and availability of care differing across Europe. This variation likely impacts care outcomes from a patient perspective.

Update on the Pathophysiology, Aetiology and Management of Central Sleep Apnoea

open access: yesRespirology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Central sleep apnoea (CSA) of the periodic breathing type occurs during the transition between wakefulness and stage 1 and 2 non‐REM sleep. In adults at sea level, it occurs most commonly due to advanced heart failure (HF) or chronic opioid use and in ~5% of obstructive sleep apnoea patients initiating CPAP.

Redox‐responsive dual‐drug nanomedicine integrating cisplatin and trypsin for synergistic reversal of tumor chemoresistance

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel glutathione‐activatable prodrug nanomedicine (cRGD‐PEG‐PGlu‐NP (ssTrypsin & CDDP)) that co‐encapsulates cisplatin and a masked protease to combat cisplatin resistance. The dual‐drug system selectively targets resistant tumor cells, enhancing the efficacy of cisplatin while minimizing systemic toxicity.

Endocytosis‐independent cytosolic entry of messenger RNA via fluorous bilayer zippering attenuating Toll‐like receptor signaling and enables ischemic tissue salvage

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
The present study establishes a paradigm shift in synthetic mRNA delivery through the convergence of three orthogonal chemistries—perfluoro‐acylation, bio‐orthogonal click cross‐linking, and disulfide reduction—within a single, modular polymer architecture. Abstract A fundamental constraint of conventional messenger RNA (mRNA) delivery systems is their

Optimization of Fluorescent Nanoparticles Architecture for Efficient Brightness, FRET Efficiency and Biosensing

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Architecturally controlled fluorescent polymer nanoparticles spatially confine BODIPY dyes within core‐shell‐crown compartments, enabling independent tuning of brightness and FRET efficiency. Core‐localized dyes maximize brightness, while shell positioning enhances energy transfer.

Longitudinal changes in peritoneal solute transport rate and the impact of lower glucose degradation product glucose dialysates

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, Volume 29, Issue 3, Page 471-478, June 2025.
Abstract Introduction Peritoneal solute transfer rates (PSTR) are reported to increase with time. Changes in PSTR were reviewed in long‐term peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients to determine whether lower glucose degradation products (low GDP) dialysates prevented an increase in PSTR. Methods PSTR was determined with a 4‐h peritoneal equilibrium test with

Text mining for case report articles on “peritoneal dialysis” from PubMed database

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, Volume 29, Issue 3, Page 459-470, June 2025.
Abstract Introduction The number of published medical articles on peritoneal dialysis (PD) has been increasing, and efficiently selecting information from numerous articles can be difficult. In this study, we examined whether artificial intelligence (AI) text mining can be a good support for efficiently collecting PD information.

A decade of renal dietetic staffing and malnutrition prevalence in dialysis patients: An observational study in a large dialysis population

open access: yesNutrition &Dietetics, EarlyView.
Abstract Aims This study explores the maintenance of dietetic full time equivalent staffing alongside malnutrition rate in a metropolitan renal dialysis service in Victoria, Australia. Objectives were to: (1) describe changes in dietitian staff‐to‐patient ratios over time; (2) evaluate dietetic service delivery against best practice guidelines and (3 ...
