ABSTRACT This paper examines the effects of the growth of omnichannel grocery retailing on food prices. We first develop a conceptual model of consumer choice and retailer pricing that allows us to evaluate changes in equilibrium prices, quantities, and profits with online channel growth and alternative pricing strategies.

Very Long‐Term Outcomes of Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding in a Japanese Cohort: A Single‐Center 15‐Year Follow‐Up Study

Long‐term outcomes of laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LAGB) in Japan were retrospectively evaluated in 28 patients with up to 15 years of follow‐up. LAGB achieved sustained long‐term weight reduction in selected patients; however, recurrence of metabolic comorbidities increased during extended follow‐up.

Return‐To‐Work and Working Status After Surgery for Gastric and Esophageal Cancer: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
In this multicenter prospective study of 158 working‐age patients undergoing curative‐intent surgery for gastric or esophageal cancer, 78.5% were working at 18 months. Postoperative appetite loss, financial difficulties, and ≥ 10% weight loss at 6 months were associated with non‐working status.
