Surgically confirmed severe endometriosis is associated with lower risk of steatotic liver disease: Evidence of estrogen‐linked hepatic–reproductive crosstalk

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Severe surgically confirmed endometriosis was associated with a lower prevalence of steatotic liver disease than non‐severe disease. Higher estradiol levels may partly explain this inverse hepatic–reproductive association, supporting integrated gynecologic and hepatologic risk assessment.

FAM107A loss facilitates TTK‐OPTN‐mediated mitophagy to drive docetaxel resistance in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
In the progression of docetaxel resistance, downregulation of FAM107A releases its transcriptional repression of TTK, leading to TTK upregulation. TTK enhances the interaction and phosphorylation of OPTN. This activates mitophagy in tumor cells, facilitates clearance of damaged mitochondria, reduces intracellular reactive oxygen species accumulation ...

Beyond Tradition: An Integrated Toxicological, Ecological, and Public Health Perspective on Aristolochic Acids

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aristolochia species have long been used in traditional medicine for their presumed anti‐inflammatory, analgesic and antimicrobial properties.
