Homoclinic Solutions for a Forced Liénard Type System

The author investigates the existence of homoclinic solutions of the forced Liénard type system \[ \ddot{x}+F(\dot{x})+ g(x)=p(t), \] where \(F\) and \(g\) are continuous functions on \(\mathbb{R}\) and \(p\) is a bounded continuous function on \(\mathbb{R}\).

Homoclinic solutions for a class of fourth‐order difference equations

In this paper, a class of fourth‐order nonlinear difference equation is considered. By making use of the critical point theory, we establish various sets of sufficient conditions for the existence of homoclinic solutions and give some new results. One of our results generalizes and improves the results in the literature.

Authos' abstract: We deal with the existence and multiplicity of homoclinic solutions of the following damped vibration problem \[ \ddot{u}(t) + q(t)\dot{u}(t) - L(t)u(t) + \nabla W(t, u(t)) = 0, \] where \(L(t)\) and \(W(t, x)\) are neither autonomous nor periodic in \(t\). Our approach is variational and it is based on the critical point theory.
