Homogeneous stabilizing feedback for homogeneous systems

Proceedings of the 2000 American Control Conference. ACC (IEEE Cat. No.00CH36334), 2000
We deal with the stabilizability problem of a homogeneous nonlinear systems. We provide the sufficient condition under which the system considered is globally asymptotically stabilizable by an homogeneous feedback law.

Toward reliable characterization of functional homogeneity in the human brain: Preprocessing, scan duration, imaging resolution and computational space

open access: yesNeuroImage, 2013
While researchers have extensively characterized functional connectivity between brain regions, the characterization of functional homogeneity within a region of the brain connectome is in early stages of development.

Isometrically homogeneous and topologically homogeneous continua

Indiana University Mathematics Journal, 2016
Based on the past study of homogeneous continua, this paper concludes that compact connected metric topological groups and isometrically homogeneous continua fall into the following three mutually disjoint classes: (1) indecomposable; (2) aposyndetic and semi-indecomposable; (3) mutually aposyndetic.

Evaluation and assessment of homogeneity in images. Part 1: Unique homogeneity percentage for binary images

open access: yesChemometrics and Intelligent Laboratory Systems, 2017
Texture features analysis is one of the most important approaches for the assessment of homogeneity on images. However, all of them are either relative to the comparison with a standardized set of images, or further multivariate models are strongly ...

Homogeneous Links

Journal of the London Mathematical Society, 1989
This paper introduces the class of links named in the title. This class contains the alternating links as a subclass, and also the positive (or standard) links. Let D be a diagram of a link L, and let F be the orientable surface spanning L which is constructed from D by applying Seifert's algorithm. A link diagram is homogeneous if it can be decomposed

Homogenization in Viscoplasticity

SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 2007
In this work we present the justification of the formally derived homogenized problem for the quasi-static initial boundary value problem with internal variables, which models the deformation behavior of viscoplastic materials with a periodic microstructure.
