Evaluating Quantum Dot Performance in Homogeneous FRET Immunoassays for Prostate Specific Antigen

open access: yesSensors, 2016
The integration of semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) into homogeneous Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) immunoassay kits for clinical diagnostics can provide significant advantages concerning multiplexing and sensitivity.

Evaluating the performance of machine learning models for automatic diagnosis of patients with schizophrenia based on a single site dataset of 440 participants

open access: yesEuropean Psychiatry, 2022
Background Support vector machines (SVMs) based on brain-wise functional connectivity (FC) have been widely adopted for single-subject prediction of patients with schizophrenia, but most of them had small sample size.

Helping the homogeneous [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Respiratory Journal, 2010
The National Emphysema Treatment Trial (NETT) 1 helped clarify the patient selection criteria and expected risks and benefits of lung volume reduction surgery (LVRS) for patients with advanced emphysema. The NETT built on numerous earlier case series which showed that the greatest symptomatic and functional benefit accrued to patients with a ...

Landscape of BRAF transcript variants in human cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We investigate the annotation of BRAF variants, focusing on protein‐coding BRAF‐220 (formerly BRAF‐reference) and BRAF‐204 (BRAF‐X1). The IsoWorm pipeline allows us to quantify these variants in human cancer, starting from RNA‐sequencing data. BRAF‐204 is more abundant than BRAF‐220 and impacts patient survival.

Immortal homogeneous Ricci flows

open access: yes, 2017
We show that for an immortal homogeneous Ricci flow solution any sequence of parabolic blow-downs subconverges to a homogeneous expanding Ricci soliton.

Diffusion in Relatively Homogeneous Sand Columns: A Scale-Dependent or Scale-Independent Process?

open access: yesEntropy, 2013
Solute transport through homogeneous media has long been assumed to be scale-independent and can be quantified by the second-order advection-dispersion equation (ADE). This study, however, observed the opposite in the laboratory, where transport of CuSO4

An ultrasound-promoted green approach for the synthesis of 3-(indol-3-yl)-3-hydroxyindolin-2-ones catalyzed by Fe(III) [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2011
Ferric chloride hexahydrate was used as a recyclable homogeneous catalyst in aqueous media for the synthesis of 3-(indol-3-yl)-3-hydroxyindolin-2-ones under sonication.

Ligand effects in homogeneous Au catalysis.

open access: yesChemical Reviews, 2008
1.1. Context and Meta-Review Despite the ubiquity of metallic gold (Au) in popular culture, its deployment in homogeneous catalysis has only recently undergone widespread investigation.

A nucleotide‐independent, pan‐RAS‐targeted DARPin elicits anti‐tumor activity in a multimodal manner

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We report a Designed Ankyrin Repeat Protein that binds and inhibits RAS proteins, which serve as central cell signaling hubs and are essential for the progression of many cancers. Its unique feature is that it does not discriminate between different RAS isoforms or mutations and is capable of binding to RAS in both its active (GTP‐bound) and inactive ...

Comparative single‐cell transcriptomic profiling of patient‐derived renal carcinoma cells in cellular and animal models of kidney cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, Volume 15, Issue 7, Page 1124-1143, July 2025.
We generated and characterized clear cell renal cell carcinoma models using the patient‐derived RCC243 cell line—including cell culture, orthotopic, and metastatic tumors—via single‐cell RNA‐sequencing for comparisons between models and patient tumor datasets.
