An investigation on the mechanics of homogeneous expansion in gas-fluidized beds

open access: yes, 2015
The Richardson and Zaki (1954, Sedimentation and fluidization. Trans. Inst. Chem. Eng. 32, pp. 35–53.) equation has been used extensively to investigate the expansion profiles of homogeneous gas-fluidized beds.

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

From Mechanisms in Homogeneous Metal Catalysis to Applications in Chemical Synthesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Man-made homogeneous catalysis with the aid of transition metal compounds looks back on a long history of almost one hundred years. Still, more detailed insight into the underlying mechanisms is warranted.

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Generalized Non-Homogeneous Morrey Spaces And Olsen Inequality

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper, we shall discuss some properties of generalized non-homogeneous Morrey spaces. In addition, we will also prove the Olsen inequality in the non-homogeneous setting.

Aquaporin‐3 and aquaporin‐5 impact the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma spheroids

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Schematic representation of the role of aquaporin‐3 (AQP3) and aquaporin‐5 (AQP5) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Both proteins are upregulated in PDAC and are associated with tumor progression and metastatic potential. Silencing AQP3 or AQP5 in PDAC spheroids results in decreased diameter, area, and overall growth, underscoring their key ...

Set-homogeneous structures

open access: yes, 2016
A countable relational structure $M$ is called $ extit{set-homogeneous}$ if whenever two finite substructures $U$, $V$ of $M$ are isomorphic, there is an automorphism of $M$ taking $U$ to $V$ (but we do not require that every isomorphism between $U$ and $
