Murine Models and Human Cell Line Models to Study Altered Dynamics of Ovarian Follicles in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
The manuscript examines preclinical murine and human models to study polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), delving into the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying altered ovarian follicular dynamics. It explores the cellular interactions involved in normal and PCOS ovaries and outlines the current and novel strategies in the search for preclinical ...

Homogeneous ENR's

open access: yesTopology and its Applications, 1987
AbstractWe show that a homogeneous euclidean neighborhood retract (ENR) X is generalized manifold provided H∗(X, X − x) is finitely generated for some (and, hence, every) x ϵ X. As a consequence we obtain a partial answer of a question of Borsuk's as to whether there exist homogeneous AR-spaces of finite dimension > 1.

Fecal Microbiota Transplantation Modulates Th17/Treg Balance via JAK/STAT Pathway in ARDS Rats

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) alleviates lung and intestinal injury in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‐induced acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) in rats. This study demonstrates that FMT restores the balance between Th17 and Treg cells, inhibits the JAK/STAT pathway, and modulates cytokine levels, reducing inflammation and lung damage. These

A Bataillean Perspective on Migration and the Nation-State: The Politics of Active Matter as an Irreducible Force

open access: yesFelsefe Arkivi
This study explores the relationship between migration and classical materialist reductionist approaches to matter through Bataille’s concept of base materialism which focuses on the idea of formless matter.

Investigating the Cellular Effects of GALC Dosing in Enzyme Replacement Therapy for Krabbe Disease Supports the Role of Nanomedicine

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
A detailed workflow for recombinant GALC production and characterization is presented to support enzyme replacement therapy for Krabbe disease. In vitro assays demonstrate that physiological GALC doses restore enzymatic activity and autophagic flux without affecting cell viability, whereas higher doses impair autophagy and reduce viability.

Microstructural Evolution and Rheological Enhancement of Asphalt–Rubber Binders: Unveiling the Role of Morphology in Performance

open access: yesBuildings
Understanding the development of an asphalt binder’s internal network structure is essential when interacting asphalt and crumb rubber. Thus, the focus of this study was to reveal the development of asphalt–rubber binders’ (A-RBs) network structures at ...
