The KdV equation has special significance as it describes various physical phenomena. In this paper, we use two methods, namely, a variational homotopy perturbation method and a classical finite-difference method, to solve 1D and 2D KdV equations with ...

Quantum Product and Parabolic Orbits in Homogeneous Spaces [PDF]
Chaput, Manivel, and Perrin proved in [3] a formula describing the quantum product by Schubert classes associated to cominuscule weights in a rational projective homogeneous space X. In the case where X has Picard rank one, we relate this formula to the

Homogenization protocols model the quantum mechanical evolution of a system to a fixed state independently from its initial configuration by repeatedly coupling it with a collection of identical ancillas. Here we analyze these protocols within the formalism of "relaxing" channels providing an easy to check sufficient condition for homogenization.

Homogeneous Permutations [PDF]
There are just five Fraïssé classes of permutations (apart from the trivial class of permutations of a singleton set); these are the identity permutations, reversing permutations, composites (in either order) of these two classes, and all permutations. The paper also discusses infinite generalisations of permutations, and the connection with Fraïssé's ...

A method to formulate a dimensionally homogeneous Jacobian of parallel manipulators [PDF]
This paper presents a general and systematic approach to formulate the dimensionally homogeneous Jacobian, which is an important issue for the dexterity evaluation and dimensional synthesis of f-degrees-of-freedom (DOF) (f ≤ 6) parallel manipulators ...
