Mediated homogenization [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2007
Homogenization protocols model the quantum mechanical evolution of a system to a fixed state independently from its initial configuration by repeatedly coupling it with a collection of identical ancillas. Here we analyze these protocols within the formalism of "relaxing" channels providing an easy to check sufficient condition for homogenization.

Intelligent Measurement of Void Fractions in Homogeneous Regime of Two Phase Flows Independent of the Liquid Phase Density Changes

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2023
Determining the amount of void fraction of multiphase flows in pipelines of the oil, chemical and petrochemical industries is one of the most important challenges.

Homogeneous Permutations [PDF]

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2002
There are just five Fraïssé classes of permutations (apart from the trivial class of permutations of a singleton set); these are the identity permutations, reversing permutations, composites (in either order) of these two classes, and all permutations. The paper also discusses infinite generalisations of permutations, and the connection with Fraïssé's ...

Theoretical Study of Heat Transfer Effects on Flow Past a Parabolic Started Vertical Plate in the Presence of Chemical Reaction of First Order

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 2014
An exact solution of an unsteady flow past a parabolic starting motion of an infinite vertical plate with variable temperature and mass diffusion, in the presence of a homogeneous chemical reaction of first order has been studied.

Comparison of Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Fenton and Sono-Fenton Decolorization of Titan Yellow: Doehlert Optimization, Response Surface Methodology, and Synergic Effects Study [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2021
In this work, four Fenton processes were used for the decolorization of titan yellow. Experimental conditions such as concentration of H2O2, pH, time, zero-valent iron dose, and concentration of Fe2+ were optimized by Doehlert experimental design and ...

Recoverable Palladium-Catalyzed Carbon-Carbon Bond Forming Reactions under Thermomorphic Mode: Stille and Suzuki-Miyaura Reactions

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
The reaction of [PdCl2(CH3CN)2] and bis-4,4′-(RfCH2OCH2)-2,2′-bpy (1a–d), where Rf = n-C11F23 (a), n-C10F21 (b), n-C9F19 (c) and n-C8F17 (d), respectively, in the presence of dichloromethane (CH2Cl2) resulted in the synthesis of Pd complex, [PdCl2[4,4 ...

Homogeneity and h -homogeneity

open access: yesTopology and its Applications, 2013
A topological space \(X\) is \textit{homogeneous} if each of its points can be carried to any other via a homeomorphism of the space; \(X\) is \textit{\(h\)-homogeneous} if it is homeomorphic to each of its nonempty clopen subspaces. The author investigates conditions under which these two notions are related for zero-dimensional spaces. The first main

THE COIN HOARD FROM THE SARNITSA VILLAGE, HASKOVO REGION. TOWARDS THE QUESTION OF CLARIFYING THE ORIGIN OF THASOS IMITATIONS OR BARBARIZATION [PDF]

open access: yesМатериалы по археологии и истории античного и средневекового Причерноморья
The article examines one of the well-preserved coin hoards consisting exclusively of imitations or barbarizations of tetradrachms traditionally minted on the island of Thasos.
