Isometrically homogeneous and topologically homogeneous continua

Indiana University Mathematics Journal, 2016
Based on the past study of homogeneous continua, this paper concludes that compact connected metric topological groups and isometrically homogeneous continua fall into the following three mutually disjoint classes: (1) indecomposable; (2) aposyndetic and semi-indecomposable; (3) mutually aposyndetic.

Endobronchial Valve Therapy in Patients with Homogeneous Emphysema. Results from the IMPACT Study.

American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, 2016
RATIONALE Endobronchial valves (EBVs) have been successfully used in patients with severe heterogeneous emphysema to improve lung physiology. Limited available data suggest that EBVs are also effective in homogeneous emphysema.

Atom Economy—A Challenge for Organic Synthesis: Homogeneous Catalysis Leads the Way

, 1995
Enhancing the efficiency of the synthesis of complex organic products constitutes one of the most exciting challenges to the synthetic chemist. Increasing the catalogue of reactions that are simple additions or that minimize waste production is the ...

On the Nature of the Active Species in Palladium Catalyzed Mizoroki–Heck and Suzuki–Miyaura Couplings – Homogeneous or Heterogeneous Catalysis, A Critical Review

, 2006
A wide array of forms of palladium has been utilized as precatalysts for Heck and Suzuki coupling reactions over the last 15 years. Historically, nearly every form of palladium used has been described as the active catalytic species.

Cultural diversity''s impact on interaction process and performance: Comparing homogeneous and diver

, 1993
The interaction process and performance of culturally homogeneous and culturally diverse groups were studied for 17 weeks. Initially, homogeneous groups scored higher on both process and performance effectiveness.

Transformation of carbon dioxide with homogeneous transition-metal catalysts: a molecular solution to a global challenge?

Angewandte Chemie, 2011
A plethora of methods have been developed over the years so that carbon dioxide can be used as a reactant in organic synthesis. Given the abundance of this compound, its utilization in synthetic chemistry, particularly on an industrial scale, is still at
