Homogeneous Catalysis by Cobalt and Manganese Pincer Complexes
ACS Catalysis, 2018Homogeneous catalysis of organic transformations by metal complexes has been mostly based on complexes of noble metals. In recent years, tremendous progress has been made in the field of base-metal catalysis, mostly with pincer-type complexes, such as ...

Catalytic Homogeneous Asymmetric Hydrogenation: Successes and Opportunities
Organometallics, 2019This is an overview of successes in the realm of catalytic homogeneous asymmetric hydrogenation of substrates primarily of interest in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals in order to identify important problems still unsolved.

Homogenization and thermopiezoelectricity
Mechanics Research Communications, 1992Some preliminary results are recorded concerning homogenization of the linear equations of thermopiezoelectricity. The analysis is performed by using the method of two-scale asymptotic developments. The constitutive relations are taken to be expressible in terms of the periodic material functions.

Proceedings of 1995 34th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1997
The paper deals with coding problems arising in symbolic dynamics for certain shift-invariant spaces (called shift spaces) of infinite sequences over a finite alphabet. Shift spaces are defined by constraints on the finite words that are allowed to appear in the sequences. The emphasis is on shift spaces (called sofic shifts) defined by finite directed

Isometrically homogeneous and topologically homogeneous continua
Indiana University Mathematics Journal, 2016Based on the past study of homogeneous continua, this paper concludes that compact connected metric topological groups and isometrically homogeneous continua fall into the following three mutually disjoint classes: (1) indecomposable; (2) aposyndetic and semi-indecomposable; (3) mutually aposyndetic.
