Abstract Seismic and aseismic slip has been reported in the Nankai Trough. In this study we apply ambient noise differential adjoint tomography to obtain a high‐resolution S‐wave velocity (Vs) model in the Nankai Trough. The Vs in the very shallow imbricate thrust zone is higher than that on both the seaward and landward sides.

Abrupt Suppression of Tectonic Tremors Outside the Stress Shadow of Mendocino Earthquakes
Abstract Tectonic tremor is a long‐duration noise‐like seismic signal associated with slow fault motion at major plate boundaries. Due to their remarkable sensitivity to stress perturbations, tremors serve as invaluable probes of the mechanical state and stress conditions deep within fault zones.

Lidar Ratios and Fluorescence Properties of Stratospheric Volcanic Sulfate
Abstract From January to June 2025, a stratospheric sulfate layer originating from the eruptions of the Ruang volcano in April 2024 could be observed with a multi‐wavelength Raman and fluorescence lidar over Leipzig, Germany. The aerosol‐optical depth of the stratospheric volcanic sulfate was <0.02 ${< } 0.02$, decreasing with time.

Abstract The internal structure of Callisto has been a long‐standing question since the Galileo mission. Previous analyses suggested a largely undifferentiated interior. We present an updated interior structure for Callisto derived from a reanalysis of Galileo's Doppler tracking data using new signal processing techniques.

Seismic Constraints of the 23 November 2025 Hayli Gubbi Eruption Sequence in Afar, Ethiopia
Abstract On 23 November 2025, the Hayli Gubbi volcano in Afar (Ethiopia) erupted in a massive explosion. We present the first seismic characterization using data from 13 regional seismological stations. Seismograms reveal signals consisting of a minute‐long precursor, a main eruptive phase, and secondary events hours later.
