In this research, a rat model of asthma was created using OVA, and polydatin served as an intervention. By inhibiting ferroautophagy mediated by NCOA4 and averting ferroptosis, polydatin has been demonstrated to reduce asthma. This work presents new ideas for investigating the mechanism of polydatin's ability to alleviate asthma, in addition to ...

Bingham flow in porous media with obstacles of different size
By using the unfolding operators for periodic homogenization, we give a general compactness result for a class of functions defined on bounded domains presenting perforations of two different size.

Workflow of a high‐throughput technology for epigenotyping of differentially methylated CpGs in specific regions of the genome. The protocol works with small amounts of DNA extracted from blood or semen. The protocol consists of both enzymatic conversion of unmethylated cytosines and capture by hybridization with a custom panel.

Stochastic homogenization of viscous Hamilton-Jacobi equations and applications
We present stochastic homogenization results for viscous Hamilton-Jacobi equations using a new argument which is based only on the subadditive structure of maximal subsolutions (solutions of the "metric problem").

Diffusion‐based size determination of solute particles: a method adapted for postsynaptic proteins
We present a diffusion‐based approach for measuring the size of macromolecules and their complexes, and demonstrate its use on postsynaptic proteins. The method requires fluorescein‐labelled protein samples, a microfluidic device that maintains laminar flow for said samples, a microscope recording the emitted fluorescent signals, and an analytic ...

The following result is proved: Theorem. Let X be a homogeneous, n- dimensional ENR and suppose that the local homology groups \(H_*(X,X- \{x\};{\mathbb{Z}})\) (x\(\in X)\) are finitely generated. Then X is a homology n-manifold. (Reviewer's remarks: The author apparently wasn't aware of a more general result proved by \textit{G. E.

Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate (EGCG) acutely inhibited gluconeogenesis and enhanced glycolysis, glycogenolysis, and fatty acid oxidation in perfused rat livers. Mechanistic assays revealed mitochondrial uncoupling, inhibition of pyruvate carboxylation and glucose‐6‐phosphatase, shift of NADH/NAD+ ratios toward oxidation, and loss of membrane integrity ...

Multiscale and Failure Analysis of Periodic Lattice Structures
A full-cycle, multiscale analysis technique was developed for periodic lattice structures with geometric repetition, aiming for more efficient modeling to predict their failure loads.

Mori-Tanaka Based Estimates of Effective Thermal Conductivity of Various Engineering Materials
The purpose of this paper is to present a simple micromechanics-based model to estimate the effective thermal conductivity of macroscopically isotropic materials of matrix-inclusion type.

Reflection and refraction of electromagnetic waves by artificial periodic composites (metamaterials) can be accurately modeled by an effective medium theory only if the boundary of the medium is explicitly taken into account and the two effective ...
