SJNPs co‐deliver JHU083 and spermine to reprogram macrophage–neuron immunometabolic crosstalk in sepsis. By suppressing pro‐inflammatory M1 polarization and promoting NGF‐mediated neurotrophic signaling, SJNPs preserve pulmonary neuronal integrity, alleviate lung injury, and improve survival in murine sepsis models.

Homogenization of the Long Instrumental Daily-Temperature Series in Padua, Italy (1725–2023)
The Padua temperature series is one of the longest in the world, as daily observations started in 1725 and have continued almost unbroken to the present. Previous works recovered readings from the original logs, and digitalized and corrected observations

H2S‐Releasing Aspirin Nanoparticles Alleviate Endometriosis and Associated Anxiety
Albumin nanoparticles loaded with an H2S‐releasing aspirin derivative (ACS14) hitchhiking neutrophils after intraperitoneal injection and preferentially accumulate in endometriosis lesions in mice. The treatment suppresses lesion growth by regulating PI3K/Akt and reduces inflammation by inhibiting NF‐κB.

Effects of management practices on water yield in small headwater catchments at Cordillera de los Andes in southern Chile [PDF]
In several parts of the world, drinking water is obtained from springs in natural and managed mountainous forests. Since forests regulate quality as well as quantity of water, the effects of forest-management activities on water yield are an important ...

AbstractSince the mid-19th century, the global atmospheric CO2 concentration (ACC) has increased dramatically due to the burning of fossil fuels. Because of unequal population growth and economic development among regions, the ACC increases possess strong spatial variability. Particularly, the increase in ACC has been larger in the mid-latitudes of the

Optimal Grazing Exclusion Duration to Enhance Soil Carbon Sequestration in Degraded Grasslands
Across China, grazing exclusion reaches the national mean soil organic carbon recovery benchmark sooner in high‐MAP regions (> 500 mm), but recovery is much slower where MAP < 300 mm. Scaling this strategy to 70% of China's degraded grasslands would sequester about 1.52 Pg of soil carbon over 10 years—roughly 17% of annual global fossil‐fuel emissions.

We demonstrate that Cars2, a cysteine catabolic enzyme in mouse iBAT, is critical for cold tolerance and brown adipocyte differentiation. Through its CPERS activity, Cars2 produces CysSSH/H2S to induce EBF2 persulfidation, promoting its interaction with PPARγ and BRG1 to enhance thermogenic gene expression.
