On Sparsity Conditions Guaranteeing a Fractional Coloring
ABSTRACT A graph has an ( a : b ) $(a:b)$ ‐coloring if there exists an assignment from the vertices to subsets of { 1 , … , a } $\{1,\ldots ,a\}$ with size b $b$ such that adjacent vertices are assigned disjoint subsets. Odd girth at least 2 k + 1 $2k+1$ is a necessary condition for a graph to have a ( 2 k + 1 : k ) $(2k+1:k)$‐coloring.

Context‐free graphs and their transition groups
Abstract Starting from context‐free inverse graphs, we introduce a new class of groups and study their structural properties. We establish closure properties, show that their coword problems are context‐free, analyze torsion elements, and realize them as subgroups of the asynchronous rational group.

ABSTRACT The (signed) projective cubes, as a special class of graphs closely related to the hypercubes, are on the crossroad of geometry, algebra, discrete mathematics and linear algebra. Defined as Cayley graphs on binary groups, they represent basic linear dependencies.

Free semigroups of large critical exponent
Abstract For a convergence group equipped with an expanding coarse‐cocycle, we construct finitely generated free subsemigroups, which we call Bishop−−Jonessemigroups$\textit{Bishop--Jones semigroups}$, of critical exponent arbitrarily close to but strictly less than the critical exponent of the ambient group.
