Geometrical modeling and numerical analysis of edge dislocation
In this study, we conduct modeling and numerical analysis of a straight edge dislocation in a three-dimensional geometrically nonlinear elastic medium.

SIMPLY CONNECTED, SPINELESS 4-MANIFOLDS
We construct infinitely many compact, smooth 4-manifolds which are homotopy equivalent to $S^{2}$ but do not admit a spine (that is, a piecewise linear embedding of $S^{2}$ that realizes the homotopy equivalence).

Homotopy equivalence of fiber bundles [PDF]
2. The classification theorem. We use the notation and results of [3]. We require that the base space B be a polyhedron because this allows us to use a result of A. Dold [2 ] to simplify both the statement and proof of the theorem. We will assume that the fiber F is locally compact and let M be the space of maps F-*F which have homotopy inverses ...

Topological Path Planning in GPS Trajectory Data
This paper proposes a novel solution to the problem of computing a set of topologically inequivalent paths between two points in a space given a set of samples drawn from that space. Specifically, these paths are homotopy inequivalent where homotopy is a

Homotopy-epimorphisms, homotopy-monomorphisms and homotopy-equivalences
In a general category, a morphism which is both an epimorphism and a monomorphism need not be an equivalence. However, the authors prove that it is in the case of the homotopy category of pointed path-connected CW- spaces. In fact, they obtain this result as a corollary of a variant of a classical theorem of J. H. C. Whitehead that they prove.

Self-homotopy equivalences of Postnikov conjugates [PDF]
The purpose of this note is to generalize a result of Wilkerson [4] and show that the self homotopy equivalences of the Postnikov approximations of a space X determine, in a rather simple manner, simultaneously the self homotopy equivalences of X and the self homotopy equivalences of the Postnikov conjugates of X (i.e.

A Smale Type Result and Applications to Contact Homology
In this note we will show that the injection of a suitable subspace of the space of Legendrian loops into the full loop space is an S1-equivariant homotopy equivalence.

Fuzzy Relative Homotopy and Fuzzy Weak Equivalence with Some Results
In this paper, first introduce my concept fuzzy homotopic and fuzzy homotopic relative and weproved that the relation fuzzy homotopic relative is a fuzzy equivalence relation.
