A theory is given of a new structure produced when demagnetizing uniaxial single crystals (e.g. magnetoplumbite) in a field normal to thec axis. The experimental results fully support the theory on the assumption that domain structures produced under normal conditions are metastable.

Photochromic, Metal-Absorbing Honeycomb Structures
Langmuir, 2010We demonstrate the synthesis and use of a spiropyran functional polymer to form highly ordered honeycomb materials by the breath figure technique, which is based on the self-assembly of water droplets. These materials undergo rapid and intense color changes both in solution and as porous films by irradiation with light (UV or visible).

The use of oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) superalloys for excellent high temperature oxidation resistance has been well established. This is achieved by the formation of a dense, slowly growing and tightly adherent alumina scale on Fe-Cr-Al and Ni-Cr-Al ODS alloys.

Novel Lithium-Containing Honeycomb Structures
Inorganic Chemistry, 2012Rock-salt-based honeycomb structures containing Te(VI) and Sb(V) with innumerable prospects of properties and applications were realized in the two new series of mixed-metal oxides of lithium, Li(8)M(2)Te(2)O(12) (M(II) = Co, Ni, Cu, Zn) and Li(8)M(2)Sb(2)O(12) (M(III) = Cr, Fe, Al, Ga).

Honeycomb noise attenuating structures
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1986Honeycomb noise attenuation sandwich panels and method of construction having a cellular core positioned between and bonded to two facing sheets. One facing sheet is perforated and the other imperforate. A thin sheet of porous fibrous felt or fabric is bonded to the perforated sheet. The core cells communicate with the atmosphere through the perforated

Honeycomb noise attenuation structure
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1992A double layer structural honeycomb sandwich noise suppression panel for use in severe environments such as aircraft turbine engine housings. Two honeycomb core sheets having multiple cells transverse to the sheets are sandwiched around and bonded to a septum sheet consisting of a wire cloth sheet alone or bonded to a sheet of perforated material.

Honeycomb-like tubular structure in axoplasm
Acta Neuropathologica, 1968A honeycomb-like tubular array was observed in heavily myelinated axons. It was observed in the cerebellum of an apparently normal rat and a chimpanzee with “Kurulike” symptoms. It was also found in the cerebral cortex of a mouse that had had a intracerebral tumor implant. A common underlying etiology could not be found.
