Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, 1961Abstract 1. 1) The intestinal blood loss from Necator americanus infection was determined by the 51 Cr-red cell labelling method in 20 patients. 2. 2) The daily blood loss varied from about 2 ml. to 90 ml. and was proportional to the worm load, but did not appear to be related to the haemoglobin level.
