Abstract Two new species of hoplopleurid lice, Hoplopleura vandeleuria, sp. nov., parasitizing Vandeleuria oleracea (Bennett) and Hoplopleura alticola, sp. nov., parasitizing Alticola roylei (Gray), are described from India. Their relationships with other members of the genus are also discussed.

[Morphological anomalies in lice (Anoplura, Hoplopleuridae)].
Wiadomosci parazytologiczne, 1992Remarkable morphological anomalies were observed in a female of Hoplopleura capitosa found on Mus musculus caught in Niemirówek, the Tomaszów district (Poland). The anomalies concerned the shape and chaetotaxis of some parapleural plates on the abdomen, constitute one of the basic taxonomical features of Anoplura.

Parazitologiia, 1980The louse Hoplopleura edentula Fahrennolz occurs not only on the vole Clethrionomys glareolus Schreb. but also on the other members of the genus widely distributed in the USSR, C. rutilus Pall. and C. rufocanus Sund. The characters distinguishing H. edentula from the close species H. acanthopus (Burm.) described from Microtus arvalis Pall.
