Application of House of Quality (HOQ) to Health Care Management
2009The House of Quality (HOQ) model is proposed to improve health care quality control. A hypothetical case study is given to demonstrate the applicability and benefits of using the proposed methodology. The benefit and drawback analysis of HOQ are also addressed. Concluding remarks and proposals for further research are presented at the end of this paper.

An integrated framework of HoQ and AHP for the QOE improvement of network-based ASP services
Annales Des Telecommunications/Annals of Telecommunications, 2010The application service provider (ASP) industry provides an essential infrastructure for Internet-based e-business transactions. First, we introduce the House of Quality (HoQ) framework, which provides the best way to not only arrange and evaluate voice of customers (VoC) and voice of engineers (VoE) but also combine VoC and VoE, thereby presenting ...

The Integration of HOQ and Fuzzy-AHP for Design Concept Evaluation
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013Design concept evaluation plays a critical role in the early phases of product development as it has significant impact on the downstream development processes as well as on the success of the product developed. In this paper, a novel methodology has been developed involving two stages. The preliminary stage is screening all the criteria from different

Analysis of consumers’ requirements for data/information quality by using HOQ
2008 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, 2008Data/information quality (DQ/IQ*) has great impact on data consumers' decisions. In order to provide high quality data/information, data consumers' requirements for DQ/IQ have to be analyzed and identified. Right requirement identification is fundamental to data quality control activities including DQ/IQ measurement, evaluation, improvement, etc ...

Application of the HoQ Model to Operations of Health Information Websites
Journal of Korean Society of Medical Informatics, 2005OBJECTIVE: Despite the increasing number of websites about health information, there have been few studies on the issues of enhancing the service quality of health information websites. The purpose of this study is twofold. The first objective is to identify what customers request from health information websites and the key attributes of service ...

A model of HoQ templet automatic generation based on RBF-ANN
Proceedings of 2004 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics (IEEE Cat. No.04EX826), 2005Quality function deployment (QFD) is a well-known customer-driven methodology of new dryer product development. QFD using house of quality (HoQ) translates customer requirements into all stages of product development. In order to deal with the problems of Dryer conventional quality function deployment (QFD) by employing artificial intelligence theory ...

HOQ's implicit requirements assessment: a fuzzy logic-based method
1997 Annual Meeting of the North American Fuzzy Information Processing Society - NAFIPS (Cat. No.97TH8297), 2002The House of Quality (HOQ) is used to identify the relationships between products/services requirements based on the perceptions of customers and experts from a multidisciplinary team. The foundation of the house of quality is the belief that products should be designed to reflect customers' desires and taste.

The Idea of a Hoq in Maimonides’ Explanation of the Law
1986According to a view widely held in Rabbinic literature and mediaeval Jewish philosophy and scriptural exegesis, there exist a small number of Mosaic commandments, the huqqim (literally: “statutes”), which are said either to have no reasons or to have reasons which we do not, and perhaps cannot, know.1 The existence of this class of laws, it was further

Application of the HoQ framework to improving QoE of broadband internet services
IEEE Network, 2010High-quality services will be the most important competitive edge in next-generation Internet services such as the broadband Internet access market, which is now reaching a saturation point in many countries. This article presents an application of the House of Quality framework combined with the Analytic Hierarchy Process method for the service ...
