Evolution of Hard X-Ray Spectra Along the Branches in Cir X-1
Using the data from the PCA and HEXTE on board the RXTE satellite, we investigate the evolution of the 3-200 keV spectra of the peculiar low mass X-ray binary (LMXB) Cir X-1 along the branches on its hardness-intensity diagram (HID) from the vertical ...

The structure of horizontal-branch models. I - The zero-age horizontal branch
A detailed study of the structure of zero-age horizontal-branch (ZAHB) models is studied in order to show how the hydrostatic structure of these models changes with the input parameters and determines the H-R diagram location of a given model. The properties of composite polytropes on the homology-invariant (U,V)-plane are demonstrated.

IqgC is a RasGAP from Dictyostelium discoideum. IqgC binds RasG via its RasGAP domain and deactivates it on macroendocytic cups, thereby suppressing the uptake of fluid and particles. IqgC has a positive effect on cell‐substratum adhesion, and its RGCt domain is required for recruitment to ventral foci.

THE KINEMATICS AND CHEMISTRY OF RED HORIZONTAL BRANCH STARS IN THE SAGITTARIUS STREAMS [PDF]
We have selected 556 red horizontal branch stars along the streams of the Sagittarius (Sgr) dwarf galaxy from Sloan Digital Sky Survey DR7 spectroscopic data using a theoretical model.

Symmetry‐broken plasmonic nanoantenna arrays achieve broadband multiresonant enhancement of second harmonic generation (SHG), third harmonic generation (THG), and upconversion photoluminescence (UCPL), under femtosecond laser excitation across the near‐infrared range (1000–1600 nm).

This work presents π–conjugated polymers based on dihydropyrazine (DHP) and ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT), developed to produce highly conductive, flexible films for printed electronics. By optimizing the DHP and EDOT ratio, strong and compact π–π stacking is achieved, resulting in polymer films with conductivities up to 1700 S cm−1 under ambient ...

Non-variable horizontal-branch stars [PDF]
For 25 years our ignorance of the physical basis of this mass loss process has been the barrier to progress in understanding horizontal branch morphology. I review some recent observational and theoretical results which may be giving us clues about the nature of the mass loss process.

Subluminous B stars (sdBs) form the extremely hot end of the horizontal branch and are therefore related to the blue horizontal branch (BHB) stars. While the rotational properties of BHB stars have been investigated extensively, studies of sdB stars have
