Validated Antenna Models for Standard Gain Horn Antennas
2009Abstract : Developed radiation pattern models of standard gain horn antennas using High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) software are presented in this technical note. The models were validated using data measured in an anechoic chamber. Comparison tables of the beamwidth, sidelobe level and first null beamwidth of the measured and modeled ...

High Voltage UWB Horn Antennas
1997Antenna structures capable of supporting (essentially) transverse electromagnetic (TEM) spherical waves are characterised by their frequency independence over a wide band width, making them ideal candidates for transient field radiation. In particular the triangular plate configuration of the TEM horn is of interest for a variety of directive wide-band

In this work, the basic theory of circular corrugated horn antennas is presented, using easy concepts with simple mathematics. The aim is to give the reader an understanding of the fundamental electromagnetic properties of these devices and to provide a set of quantitative design tools for the electromagnetic engineer.
