Insights into biaxial extensional tectonics: an example from the Sandikli Graben, West Anatolia, Turkey [PDF]
West Anatolia, together with the Aegean Sea and the easternmost part of Europe, is one of the best examples of continental extensional tectonics. It is a complex area bounded by the Aegean–Cyprus Arc to the south and the North Anatolian Fault Zone (NAFZ)

Source-sink system and exploration directions during rift period: A case study of Pingbei area in Xihu Sag, East China Sea Shelf Basin [PDF]
To address the unclear sedimentary microfacies types and sandbody distribution characteristics in the Baoshi Formation-lower member of Pinghu Formation (hereinafter referred to as lower Pinghu member) in the Pingbei area of the Baochu slope belt, Xihu ...

Long‐Term Deformation in the Alpine‐Provence Foreland Constrained by In Situ Calcite U‐Pb Dating
Abstract The evolution of the Alpine‐Provence foreland is characterized by multiple deformation phases since the Mesozoic, representing successive compressional and extensional episodes. The precise timing and spatial evolution of these deformation phases remain poorly constrained due to the lack of absolute geochronological data. Here, we present U–Pb

Influence of Inherited Rifted Margin Architecture on Continental Collision Dynamics
Abstract Continental collision is a key process in lithospheric evolution, driving mountain building, crustal thickening, and supercontinent assembly. Within the Wilson cycle, collision marks the final stage following rifting, ocean spreading, and subduction.

Structural analysis of superposed fault systems of the Bornholm horst block, Tornquist Zone, Denmark [PDF]
The Bornholm horst block is composed of Precambrian crystalline basement overlain by Palaeozoicand Mesozoic cover rocks. The cover intervals are separated by an angular unconformity and a hiatus spanning the Devonian through Middle Triassic interval ...

Piacenzian mixed carbonate‐siliciclastic succession (‘Macco’ unit) deposited on the passive margin of the Tyrrhenian back‐arc basin. Sedimentation was controlled by syn‐sedimentary tectonics, with NW–SE first‐order faults (3–4 km) creating accommodation space and NE–SW second‐order faults (~0.5 km) influencing facies distribution and growth structures.

Delineation of shallow structure and the Gondwana graben in the Mahanadi delta, India, using forward modeling of first arrival seismic data [PDF]
We derived 2-D shallow velocity structure, in order to delineate low-velocity Gondwana sediments underlain by high-velocity volcanics in the north, to determine sediment thickness in the south and to map the basement configuration along the N–S trending ...
