Essential role of NONO-HOXA1-Wnt axis in cardiomyocyte differentiation

open access: yesNature Communications
NONO is recognized as a critical molecular scaffold involved in both transcriptional and posttranscriptional regulation. Mutations in NONO are frequently linked to congenital heart diseases (CHDs) in humans.

Reduced Graphene Oxide Enhances the Vascular Organization and Contractile Performance of Fibrin‐Gelatin‐Based Engineered Cardiac Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Fibrin–gelatin hydrogels functionalized with reduced graphene oxide create a mechanically stable and bioactive 3D environment for engineered cardiac tissue. The composite matrix promotes endothelial lumen formation, enhances sarcomeric protein expression, and increases contractile performance of embedded cardiomyocytes.

Novel Compound Heterozygous Variants in the TCTN2 Gene Causing Meckel–Gruber Syndrome 8 in a Non‐Consanguineous Chinese Family

open access: yesMolecular Genetics & Genomic Medicine
Introduction Meckel‐Gruber syndrome (MKS, OMIM 24,900), also known as Meckel syndrome, is a rare and severe autosomal recessive disorder. The syndrome is typically characterized by a triad of occipital encephalocele, bilateral renal cystic dysplasia, and

A Critical Review on the Evolution of Chitosan‐Based Injectable Hydrogels in Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The graphical illustration depicts hydrogel formulation using chitosan and biocompatible cross‐linkers, major advantages, and incorporation of cells, osteoinductive factors, and therapeutic drugs. Following injection, pH‐responsive gelation enables controlled drug release, promotes cell recruitment and osteogenic differentiation, enhances extracellular

Control of Bacterial Attachment on Macroporous PDMS/Paraffin SLIPS With Varying Lubricant Viscosity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Slippery liquid‐infused porous surfaces (SLIPS) prepared from macroporous PDMS, infused with medical‐grade paraffins, were systematically investigated regarding the correlation of viscosity, surface corrugation, bulk porosity, and bacterial resistance. Substrate porosity was found to dominate lubricant stabilization and the antifouling activity.

Compliant Pneumatic Feet with Real‐Time Stiffness Adaptation for Humanoid Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A compliant pneumatic foot with real‐time variable stiffness enables humanoid robots to adapt to changing terrains. Using onboard vision and pressure control, the foot modulates stiffness within each gait cycle, reducing impact forces and improving balance. The design, cast in soft silicone with embedded air chambers and Kevlar wrapping, offers durable,
