An Evaluation of Antibiotic Prescribing Practices Upon Hospital Discharge
We conducted a retrospective study of the appropriateness of antimicrobial agents prescribed on discharge from an acute care hospital. Seventy percent of discharge antibiotics were inappropriate in antibiotic drug choice, dose, or duration.
