A breathable and mechanically robust PA6 electrospun textile is modified via physical vapor deposition of a nanoscale copper layer, enabling efficient electrostatic charge dissipation. The resulting material exhibits a 99.6% decrease in triboelectric voltage and a 60% increase in tensile strength, offering a multifunctional solution for electrostatic ...

Integrated Hospital Discharge Programme
Despite a plethora of initiatives and investment, growing demand has continued to outstrip ability to respond to needs in North West London (NWL); whilst cuts in social services have left many people who are medically fit to go home, stranded in hospital beds which are needed to treat new patients.NWL exemplifies these challenges, with 2.3 million ...

This study introduces a hybrid robot that integrates mechanical assistance by musculoskeletons (i.e., soft pneumatic muscle with rigid exoskeletal extensions), neuromuscular electrical stimulation, and vibrotactile feedback in a lightweight wearable mechatronic complex applicable to the paretic ankle–foot poststroke for gait restoration. The system can

Midkine (MDK) is a mediator of the interaction between pancreatic cancer and beta cells. MDK, which originated from pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cells, exerted deleterious effects on paraneoplastic beta cells by binding to the SDC4 receptor on the beta cell surface and subsequently downregulating the Ras signaling pathway, thereby impairing insulin
