International Comparison of Geriatric‐Associated Variables in Major Gastroenterological Surgery Between National Clinical Database and American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program

Geriatric surgical risk factors and outcomes were compared between the US and Japanese databases. Geriatric‐associated preoperative variables and outcomes similarly increased with age. Survival Outcomes of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Patients Who Underwent Salvage Esophagectomy: A Literature Review and Results From Two High‐Volume Centers

This study aimed to investigate survival outcomes, the efficacy of lymph node (LN) dissection, and recurrence patterns in 69 patients who underwent R0 salvage surgery for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Of note, abdominal LN metastases had a negative impact on survival in our series.

Prognostic Value of Serum Insulin‐Like Growth Factor‐1 in Patients With Anal Fistula Treated by Incision‐Thread‐Drawing Surgery

Long‐Term Nutritional Benefits of Laparoscopic Pancreatoduodenectomy Over Open Surgery

Minimally invasive laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) significantly improves long‐term nutritional outcomes compared to open pancreaticoduodenectomy (OPD). LPD patients demonstrated better preservation of muscle mass index (PMI) and a lower incidence of postoperative fatty liver.
