Dibenzyl Isophthalates as Versatile Hosts in Room Temperature Phosphorescence Host-Guest Systems

open access: yes
We report a series of dibenzyl isophthalates (DBIs) as versatile hosts for room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) systems, leading to host-guest systems with quantum yields (QY) of up to 77 % or lifetimes of up to 21.0 s for the guest coronene d12 ...

An efficient multiple healing conductive composite via host-guest inclusion

open access: yes, 2015
A self-healable conductive composite is developed by combining the small molecules and nanotubes through host-guest interactions. This material shows uniform conductivity, microwave absorption and humidity sensing properties, and can be rapidly healed to

Tunable‐Threshold UV Dosimetry With Programmable Luminescent Tags via Oxygen‐Mediated Room‐Temperature Phosphorescence

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A fully organic UV threshold dosimeter is developed by exploiting the oxygen‐sensitive room‐temperature phosphorescence of a purely organic emitter in a polymer matrix. Upon reaching a specific cumulative UV dose, photochemical oxygen depletion triggers a sharp, high‐contrast emission.

Guest-host Chemistry with Phenothiazine-substituted Amides.

open access: yes
Guest-host interactions between a 3-(10-phenothiazinyl)propanamide) functionalized dipropylenetriamine pincer (host) and simple amides of malonic acid and analogs (guests) have been investigated, and the system has been transferred to a generation 5 3 ...

Emotion management in small hotels: meeting the challenges of flexibility and informality

open access: yes, 2014
This paper shows that in small hotels, hotel owners interpret „hospitality‟ more broadly than mere commercial concerns. Hoteliers engage with three interdependent hospitality domains, commercial, social and private (Lashley, 2000), an approach that ...

Study of the Counter Anions in the Host-Guest Chemistry of Cucurbit[8]uril and 1-Ethyl-1′-benzyl-4,4′-bipyridinium

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2013
A series of 1-ethyl-1′-benzyl-4,4′-bipyridinium compounds with different counter anions (BEV-X2, where the X is Cl, Br, I, PF6, ClO4) were synthesized.

Mitigating Efficiency Roll‐Off in Phosphor‐Sensitized Fluorescence OLEDs via Molecular Polarity‐Based Benzofuropyridine Host Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Positional isomerism in dibenzofuran‐based n‐type hosts modulates molecular polarity, charge‐transport balance, and emissive‐layer packing. The higher‐polarity BFPDB‐2 host facilitates efficient energy funneling, reduced aggregation, and preferential dipole orientation, leading to phosphor‐sensitized fluorescence OLEDs with enhanced external quantum ...

SAMPL7 TrimerTrip Host-Guest Binding Affinities from Extensive Alchemical and End-Point Free Energy Calculations

open access: yes, 2020
The prediction of host-guest binding affinities with computational modelling is still a challenging task. In the 7th statistical assessment of the modeling of proteins and ligands (SAMPL) challenge, a new host named TrimerTrip was synthesized and ...

Highly two‐photon and X‐ray excited long‐persistent luminescence in a crystalline host‐guest aggregate

open access: yesAggregate
As a unique type of supramolecular self‐assemblies, crystalline host‐guest aggregates have attracted extensive interests in multiple application fields. Herein, a crystalline host‐guest aggregate LIFM‐HG1 was obtained with curcubit[8]uril as the host and
