A Keplerate, an inorganic, porous buckyball was used as a host for copper metal cations ligated by histidine surrogates. Prepared by a simple assembly technique, the guest–host complex was used as a primitive biomimetic model of a monooxygenase enzyme complex, where C─H bonds were electrocatalytically hydroxylated by oxygen under reducing conditions ...

ABSTRACT Migrant healthcare workers in Australia find themselves at the centre of three intersecting concerns, often presented as ‘crises’ in contemporary discourse: the ‘care crisis’, the ‘housing crisis’ and the ‘migration crisis.’ Yet their own perspectives on these issues are rarely foregrounded. This paper explores the role of homeownership in the

[Zn2(L‐ValPyr)2] is a chiral and flexible metal‐organic framework that places the isopropyl sidechains of L‐valine inside the pores, creating accessible space in the shape of a three‐blade propeller. The framework adapts its structure to position the substituted aromatic guests in its peripheral pockets through favorable interactions with the isopropyl

ABSTRACT Nations manufacture non‐belonging of temporary migrants through policy frameworks that produce exclusion. This precarity maximises the economic benefit of temporary migrant labour by minimising their political, social and legal rights. In this paper, we examine how non‐belonging targeting Working Holiday Makers (WHMs) is manufactured in ...

The aqueous‐state encapsulation of cationic Ru(II)/Ir(III)‐complexes is efficiently demonstrated by anionic aromatic micelles via remote electrostatic interactions. The resulting host–guest composites exhibit enhanced metal‐complex‐based emission (∼3 to 10‐fold) and NIR emission through guest‐to‐guest FRET upon co‐encapsulation.

The accessible chemical space of second‐generation crystalline sponges (2G‐CSs) is extended to low‐polarity small molecules via a modulator‐enabled strategy. The key is the size compensation between guest and modulator to achieve a snug fit within the cage cavity.

Aktivierung von Metallkomplexen durch Ultraschallwellen für eine gezielte Krebstherapie
Ultrasound enables non‐invasive activation of metal‐based therapeutics deep within tumors. Acoustic cavitation can drive sonodynamic reactive oxygen species generation or mechanochemical metal–ligand bond dissociation, enabling controlled release of bioactive payloads.
