Plant Hosts of Botrytis spp.

2015
A list of known plant species that serve as hosts of Botrytis spp. is presented. Botrytis species are reported to attack a total of 596 genera of vascular plants (tracheophytes), representing over 1400 plant species, although the host range is most probably much wider since there are limited reports of diseases on wild plants. Host-plant selection: when to accept a plant

1998
Abstract One of the most notable features of herbivorous insects that has emerged from the previous chapters is that most species are very selective feeders and meticulously choose the plants on which they deposit their eggs. Recent research on several species has shown that they select not only certain plant species but also specific ...

Attraction of the cabbage looper to host plants and host plant odor in the laboratory

Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, 1989
AbstractIn a laboratory flight tunnel, mated female, unmated female, and male adult cabbage loopers, Trichoplusia ni (Hübner), exhibited chemically mediated anemotaxis (attraction) in response to intact potted cabbage plants (Brassica oleracea L.), leading to contact with the plant.

Dichorhaviruses in their Host Plants and Mite Vectors

2018
A group of related bacilliform, nuclear viruses with a bisegmented negative-sense RNA genome that are transmitted by Brevipalpus mites likely in a circulative-propagative manner were recently classified in the new genus Dichorhavirus, family Rhabdoviridae.

Host Plants of Agrilus

2014
The history of publishing biological data on Agrilus is prolific and dates to the earliest days. There are 1,250 host related references in this study with no chance to adequately highlight all the important ones. This section is just a brief insight into several aspects of biological discovery of these splendid beetles.
