Minispangling of Hot Dip Galvanized Steel
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1984<div class="htmlview paragraph">The surface appearance of hot dip galvanized steels can be changed by altering the nucleation and growth of zinc spangles during solidification. This paper describes the spangle nucleation mechanisms resulting from two minispangling techniques: steam impingement and zinc dust impingement.

Activity in the development of hotdip galvanizing alloys has been quite successful in achieving two major goals. First, the use of a zinc-nickel bath provides a workable solution to the problem of batch galvanizing reactive steels, to achieve both an attractive surface appearance and a thin, durable and protective coating.

Magnetic actuator design for strip stabilizers in hot dip galvanizing lines
Annual Meeting of the IEEE Industry Applications Society, 2018Electromagnetic strip stabilizers are viable tools for controlling the shape of steel strips in hot dip galvanizing lines. Such stabilizers typically consist of multiple electromagnets located at the top and the bottom side of the strip.

Segregation in hot-dipped galvanized steel
Surface and Interface Analysis, 2000A commercially prepared, hot-dip galvanized, low-carbon steel sheet sample has been studied by means of XPS, SEM, and energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS). The sample was processed in a molten Zn bath containing Al and other additives at low concentrations. Extensive Al segregation to the top of the galvanized layer was observed by XPS.

Inspecting Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel
SSPC 2016 Greencoat, 2016Abstract Engineers, architects, DOTs and other specifiers use hot-dip galvanizing to provide corrosion protection to steel and iron in many industries, including transportation and highway, parking garages, bridges, structural, agricultural, petrochemical, and original equipment manufacturing. To ensure continued corrosion protection and

Robustness margin of the hot-dip galvanizing control system
Proceedings of 2003 IEEE Conference on Control Applications, 2003. CCA 2003., 2004This paper presents new results to compute the robustness margin of the hot-dip galvanizing control system. Compared to previous works on this issue, this paper considers a mathematical model of the plant with two inputs, used to control the system and one output.
