Damage micromechanisms in a hot dip galvanized steel
Abstract: Hot-dip galvanizing is one of the most used methods to apply zinc-based coatings on steels in order to provide sacrificial protection against corrosion over all the steel surface. The aim of this work is the analysis of the hot dip zinc coated steel plates mechanical properties by means of a non-standardized bending test performed ...

The corrosion performance of line‐produced prepainted galvanized steel products was investigated upon the distance to the seashore in temperate environment over 8‐year exposure. The rate of underpaint corrosion from cut‐edge was estimated and depended on the agressiveness of the site and the angle of exposure.

ABSTRACT The growing demand for food, energy, and water in resource‐constrained regions intensifies land‐use conflicts, where solar photovoltaic (PV) expansion often competes with agriculture. Agrivoltaics, the co‐location of crop cultivation beneath PV systems, offers a potential dual‐use solution to enhance land efficiency. This study presents one of

Surface X‐Ray Diffraction Study of Ag‐Decorated Cu(100) Under Electrochemical Reduction of CO2
In situ surface X‐ray diffraction reveals that the Ag‐decorated Cu(100) electrode surface restructures dynamically during initial CO2 electroreduction, driven by the formation of CO intermediates. The interfacial order also evolves with applied potential. These catalyst structural changes are highly reversible during fast potential scan but become only

Multifunctional black phosphorus nanocomposites with carbon, metal/oxide, and polymers suppress volume expansion, enhance conductivity, and enable durable, high‐capacity LIB anodes. ABSTRACT Black phosphorus (BP) is a layered and two‐dimensional substance that has been discussed as an anode material for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) due to its ...

Micropatterned Biphasic Printed Electrodes for High‐Fidelity on‐Skin Bioelectronics
Micropatterned biphasic printed electrodes achieve unprecedented skin conformity and low impedance by combining liquid‐metal droplets with microstructured 3D lattices. This scalable approach enables high‐fidelity detection of ECG, EMG, and EEG signals, including alpha rhythms from the forehead, with long‐term comfort and stability.

Hot-dip galvanizing of steel structures - possibilities and limitations [PDF]
Hot-dip galvanizing is one of the most commonly used systems for the corrosion protection of steel structures. In cases where there are no restrictions for the application of hot-dip galvanizing, this procedure is the most economical solution because it ...
