Multimodal Mechanical Testing of Additively Manufactured Ti6Al4V Lattice Structures: Compression, Bending, and Fatigue

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this experimental study, the mechanical properties of additively manufactured Ti‐6Al‐4V lattice structures of different geometries are characterized using compression, four point bending and fatigue testing. While TPMS designs show superior fatigue resistance, SplitP and Honeycomb lattice structures combine high stiffness and strength. The resulting

Influence of the Hot-pressing Process on the Durability of Totora (Schoenoplectus Californicus C.A. Mey. Soják) Binderless Boards against Wood-decaying Organisms

open access: yesJournal of Natural Fibers, 2021
Totora (Schoenoplectus californicus C.A. Mey. Soják) is a macrophyte from the Cyperaceae family that grows in the Americas. Recent studies have shown the feasibility of producing binderless boards using different tissues of totora stems. However, no data

Technological processing at hot pressing of pipes

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2012
Most often in the course of hot pressing of pipes glass greasings which on a hot surface form a viscous dividing layer are applied. It is established, that surface clearing before greasing drawing raises quality of pipes which press. Better quality of metal pipes is received at clearing by alkaline solutions with polymeric phosphates of various ...
