Roll-to-roll hot embossing of microstructures

In this paper we present a new roll-to-roll embossing process allowing the replication of micro patterns with feature sizes down to 0.5 µm. The embossing process is suitable for the continuous output of micro patterned structures and is not accompanied by waste produced during the initial hot embossing phase.

Abstract A laboratory experimental device was developed to allow full-scale measurements on roll cooling to be carried out. The full-scale tests use a complete configuration of rows of nozzles as in the plant conditions or prepared by a designer. Modernization of the method of rolling of hot-rolled tubes

A new method of hot-rolled pipes rolling on the automatic mill “tandem” is suggested. It consists of two rolling stands. This method allows one to achieve the rough pipe preovalisation before reaching the automatic mill. The rough pipe preovalisation provides even groove filling and the decrease of pipe wall thickness variation.
