3D Printing Innovations in Polymeric Porous and Patterned Architecture
Polymeric foams occupy a unique structural space between dense solids and open networks, where engineered void fraction governs mechanical compliance, thermal resistance, and mass transport. Additive manufacturing now enables precise spatial control over cellular architecture, unlocking designer foam structures across applications spanning crash ...

Flexoelectrically Induced Polar Topology in Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes
Twisted SrTiO3 bilayers host polar vortices of flexoelectric origin, revealed through combined experiment and theory. By reconstructing polarization from the toroidal moment of strain gradients, the work establishes a 3D chiral state with broken inversion and mirror symmetries.

Novel Heat Stamping of Ti6Al4V panels with high drawability and low springback [PDF]
Conventional commonly used titanium stamping techniques like hot forming and superplastic forming each have distinct disadvantages. Hot forming usually leads to limited formability and significant springback, whilst superplastic forming often results in ...

We introduce a molecular strategy to assemble one‐dimensional (1D) materials into two‐dimensional (2D) van der Waals metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Crystals of [FeX(pzX)(bpy)] (X = Cl, F) form anisotropic 2D layers that can be mechanically exfoliated into thin sheets.

Hot stamping of ultra high strength steels
Hot stamping is a novel process to produce ultra high strength automobile components without any spring back. Simultaneous forming and quenching of the hot blanks after austenization result in fully martensitic microstructures in the final products ...

Two-Scale Thermomechanical Simulation of Hot Stamping
Hot stamping is a hot drawing process which takes advantage of the polymorphic steel behavior to produce parts with a good strength-to-weight ratio. For the simulation of the hot stamping process, a nonlinear two-scale thermomechanical model is suggested
