The effect of hot rolling temperature on microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of 0.05C-5Mn (wt%) steel was investigated. With the decrease of hot rolling temperature from 1150 °C to 900 °C, the average size of prior austenite grain was ...

Equipment Temperatures in Hot Completions
SPE Offshore Europe, 1991ABSTRACT This work illustrates the application of accepted relationships to thermal problems in production equipment. Previous work has shown that relationships which were developed for much simpler cases are adaptable to oilfield problems.

Hot science at low temperatures
Physics World, 1992What do superconducting films, the fungal infestation of leaves and storage properties of pharmaceutical creams have in common? The answer is that the characterisation of all of these materials can be assisted by the use of low-temperature scanning electron microscopy (LT SEM).

Duration of Very Hot Temperatures *
Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society, 1952Maximum temperatures on very hot days in hot-desert areas are similar in duration and time of occurrence to maximums on cooler days: they occur around three hours after noon, and the temperature (as measured to the nearest whole degree by standard thermometers) remains at the maximum for about two hours.

How Hot Is Too Hot?: Some Considerations Regarding Temperature and Performance
International Journal of Sports Physiology and Performance, 2010The regulation of temperature during exercise is a widely debated topic. Two primary views exist, with one embracing a peripheral approach and the other adopting a more integrative and central explanation of the physiology. Especially in the past 10 years, several investigators have published increasingly elegant interpretations that have moved the ...

The Temperature Sensitivity of Hot Wires
1978Significant errors in measurements of some velocity and joint velocity-temperature statistics arise from the non-negligible contamination of the measured hot-wire velocity signal by concomitant temperature fluctuations. Measurements of the temperature sensitivity of hot wires operated at high overheat ratios are considerably more difficult to obtain ...

Body temperatures during menopausal hot flashes
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1975Body temperatures during hot flashes were measured in a menopausal woman. Internal temperatures fell after each flash; lowest: rectal, 35.6 degrees C; vaginal, 35.6 degrees C; tympanic, 35.2 degrees C. Where sweating occurred, the skin temperature fell during the flash and rose after it.
